The therapy involves the use of heated herbs and oils which are tied together in small pouches which are then used to massage the affected area to reduce stress, minimize pain, enhance blood circulation, treat injuries and lose weight.

Dhara is one of the oldest Ayurvedic treatment procedures that involves the use of a thin stream of mildly warm oil to treat problems like chronic headaches, insomnia, mental tension, hysteria, hallucination and insanity. Special oils are prepared by using natural ingredients like Herbal oil (main ingredient), coconut water, milk and ghee. A thin stream of the oil is made to fall over the affected area continuously for 25 to 75 minutes. Dhara treatment is usually performed in the Karkidaka month.

The treatment targets various Vata disorders i.e. rheumatic diseases. Performed under the guidance of a trained Vaidya (Ayurvedic doctor), the procedure aims at the removal of toxins. It involves the introduction of special medicinal oils inside the patient’s body through the anal or vaginal cavity, for expelling harmful toxins. Vasthi has also been found to be effective in treating infertility and managing back pain.

Uttara Vasti - The therapy is used to treat pain related to chest and sternum, anxiety problems and stress. It also helps to restore skin elasticity.
Kashaya Vasti - The therapy involves the use of herbal dough to create a dam-like structure on the affected area. Medicinal oil is poured into this and left there for some time. This is very effective for treating back pain, swelling, osteoporosis, arthritis, spondylosis etc.
Sneha Vasti - Commonly known as oil enema, the procedure is restricted to the use of only medicated oils and no other ingredient. It is used for treating constipation, renal problems, cold, fever, neck and back pain, vomiting and acidity.
It is a therapeutic treatment that aims at changing the body’s metabolism to help patients struggling with weight loss. Obesity is one of the major causes of concern for people nowadays. It is an open invitation to various diseases and health problems. Lekhaneeyam involves the use of a special herbal paste that is applied and massaged all over the patient’s body, in an upward direction.
The program lasts for around 2 weeks during which the patient has to follow certain diet restrictions as well. The therapy speeds up metabolism as a result of which the body starts burning fat at a faster pace. This also helps to negate any chances of further fat deposition.
The treatment helps to target a variety of gastroenterological ailments by the oral intake of medicated ghee for 8 to 14 days.
